About Antalya

Antalya itself surprises many travellers: Kaleiçi, the walled old town, is a maze of Ottoman houses, boutique hotels and a Roman harbour, with Hadrian's Gate and waterfalls within the city limits. It's a fine base for culture alongside beach — the ancient cities of Perge and Aspendos are close by.

What Antalya is really known for is the coast around it. To the west lie Kemer and the mountains; to the east the resort towns of Belek (golf), Side (with its ancient seaside temple) and Alanya. It's the beating heart of the all-inclusive beach holiday, with a season running April to November and July/August the hottest.

April–November; May, June, September & October most pleasant
